Kim Chiu Under the Spotlight

My photographer is a fan of Kim Chiu so when I asked her this small favor of taking pictures of the Premier Night last Tues (Oct.26), she was more than up for it!

While I was browsing through the pictures she took, I noticed that most of the photos are of Kim and all of them were beautiful shots (pang profile pic ba!). So here's a post dedicated to Kim, her beauty and her awesomeness during the red carpet premier.

'Til My Heartaches End' Red Carpet Premier

Hey guys, here are the pictures from the premier night of 'Til My Heartaches End'.

I read a number of reviews about the movie already and most of them are good. Here's one I'd like to share.
Enjoy reading and viewing the photos :)

FILM REVIEW Till My Heartaches End: A well-told story that speaks from the heart
Rachelle Siazon
ABS-CBN

Till My Heartaches End delivers a realistic portrayal of how a relationship gets torn apart by betrayal, personal differences, and too many expectations. Kim Chiu plays the role of Agnes, a nursing graduate whose world revolves around her boyfriend and acts as his greatest motivating force only to realize too late that she also has her own life to live. Gerald Anderson is Powie, a struggling barista-turned-real estate agent whose successful career move suddenly changed his life goals and made him a stranger to his own girlfriend.

Congratulations are in order for director Jose Javier Reyes for coming up with a well-written script despite the tight schedule that was allotted for the project. Though it’s a typical boy meets girl story, the fact that the story is being told by the friends of the couple is certainly a nice touch. Moviegoers especially those who have experienced heartbreak can relate to the realistic dialogue between Kim and Gerald’s characters, especially when they were on the verge of breaking up.

At the same time, the Kimerald fans who attended the premiere night couldn’t help but think that it was inspired by Gerald’s rumored closeness with Bea Alonzo, especially when Kim confronted Gerald in one of the scenes and exclaimed, “Naiinis ako sa mga tao. Ang dumi-dumi nilang mag-isip... May involvement daw kayo ni Lea (played by Desiree del Valle)!”

Story-wise, it can be said that this is one of the best movies that Kim and Gerald have made. They’ve played their parts very well which only goes to show why they remain as the hottest love team in the biz today.

Finally, kudos to the supporting cast who were also given the chance to shine. Unlikely pairs such as Matet de Leon and Tibo Jumalon as well as Cacai Bautista and Manuel Chua provide comic relief.

Till My Heartaches End is now showing in theaters nationwide.

KIMERALD Travel Diary: A Day In Iloilo

It was a fun trip to Iloilo last Friday, October 24, 2010 with Kim and Gerald. I'd like to thank Marvin J. for being the 'front man' of the video. I don't need to put in detail the events that took place cause you'll see it in their travel vlog anyway. To summarize it all, it was a great success!!! From the moment they stepped out of the plane up to departure, Iloilo gave them a very warm welcome. The mall show was more than a success, it was crazy! Their support for Kimerald was OVERWHELMING (as seen on the video). Thank God no one got hurt and every one just had a wonderful time. Thank you to all the 12,000 + people who headed to Robinsons Place to witness them even just for a short while. Sa uulitin!

Later na ang Premier Night ng 'Til My Heartaches End', sana makapunta kayo.
It's out in theaters on Oct.27, don't miss it!

December - Christmas - Metro Manila Film Festival!

Christmas season is the best time of the year for me. Who doesn’t love the season? It’s all PARTY! PARTY! Shopping! Vacation! Outings! And more PARTY PARTY! It also gives me reason to forget dieting because I’m no party pooper to resist the feasts and blessings.

But besides the above said, I love December cause of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). I know a lot of people who hate the fact that only local movies are shown in theaters during that time, but I am still on my quest to convince those people to love and support our local industry. I’m sure you all are aware that I am a big fan of local movies basing on most of my posts, so December is really a feast, not just for my tummy but also for my eyes as a film aficionado.

I am enthusiastic about what Star Cinema and the rest of the film outfits have to offer this year. I do watch everything that comes out, so no bias from me…. At this point, being a Star Cinema fan, I already did some research on the movies we should expect from them.

This year Star Cinema will have 3 entries to the MMFF namely Ang Tanging Ina (Last Na ‘To), RPG Metanoia (3D) and Dalaw (Horror).

I’ve been following the Tanging Ina franchise and it never fails to satisfy my enjoyment needs. Dalaw on the other hand is a horror film lead by Horror Queen Kris Aquino. Basing on her previous scary movies, I hope this one can be of the same level or be better. But RPG METANOIA…. This one makes me very curious. It’s a 3D animated movie fully created by Filipino animators. This will be the first of its kind in Philippine Film History, so this we should definitely look out for!

When I have more news about the entries for the MMFF, I will update.

Whatever the movies are though, from whatever film production company, whoever stars in it, let’s all support… For the sake of Christmas and our love for movies in general!

TANGING INA 3

Bonggang bongga 'to dahil magkakasama na naman DAW ang mga anak ni Ina from the 1st Taning Ina!
I hope I hope I hope :)

Here Comes The Bride Reaches Pusan

[Joji Alonso, Chris Martinez, Eugene Domingo, John "Sweet" Lapus]

Hi guys, my friend from Star Cinema sent me pictures of Eugene Domingo, John Lapus, Producer Joji Alonso and Direk Chris Martinez during their appearance at the Pusan International Festival in Korea. The four were there, which took place a week ago, for the open cinema outdoor screening of the blockbuster comedy (and my 2nd most favorite local film of the year), “Here Comes The Bride”.

From the pictures we could see that Eugene and John “Sweet” Lapus painted the town red with their vibrance and energy. It is evident (from the photos) that a lot of people were there to watch and support the movie. The success it earned here in the Phil's. translated in Korea. Good job!

Sana mas maging active pa ang Pilipinas sa pag participate sa mga film events and festivals abroad cause I believe we do have a number of movies that are worth showing worldwide.

Philippines – Represent!

Thanks for the pictures Mico Del Rosario

IMORTAL Promo Weekend Pictures

Imortal is now on it’s 2nd week and more exciting things are starting to unfold. From day one I made sure that I stayed hooked on my tv set so that I wouldn’t miss any detail about each characters history… It paid off! My friends and officemates who weren’t able to catch the first few episodes now keep asking me about the story – why this? Why that?! Of course, as a good friend and a true blue Imortal enthusiast (even before the series aired), I don’t mind telling them about all the back stories to feed their interest.

If you missed the first (very important) episodes of this series and you don’t have a patient friend like me, who has the time to tell you the story in exact detail, I suggest you visit www.imortal.abs-cbn.com for deets on everything IMORTAL! It’s a very informative and interactive website, first of its kind made for a TV series here in the Philippines.

Since were in the topic of IMORTAL, let me share with you some pictures I got from Photographer Allan Sancon, during their promo guestings (on and off-cam) in Pilipinas Win Na Win and E-Live.

Enjoy!

After PWNW, they rush to E-Live...

Keep watching IMORTAL! It comes after Noah and before Magkaribal only on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida Slot
