Yes, Melai has gotten her biggest break and the whole country is now witnessing her “pasabogs” on the big screen. We’ve all seen her for real in her reality TV show stint. We have all proven that Melai is a natural comedienne. What we see is what we get. No pretenses. No put-ons. Just downright funny. We’ve also enjoyed and still enjoying her antics in all her previous and current hit TV shows. And of course we all witnessed as she found the love of her life, her sweetie-pie, her “buang”, her Jason (Francisco). Indeed, Melai is having the best times of her life. Where she is and what she is right now is nothing short of phenomenal.
And what could be more fitting to seal this stroke of luck but to be the star of her own movie? Hailed as the Prinsesa ng Masa, Melai will prove this time that she can also be a queen, in her first-ever movie title role that is, queen as … a “dakilang ate” to a beloved younger brother Ulam (played by Martin del Rosario), a best friend to Ruben Padilla (Jason Francisco, her reel and real-life sweetheart), a beautiful Brazilian super model (she will become Pureza Mayriles as the movie plot thickens) … Melai as Pureza will reign.
From the company that gave us the most successful comedy movies in the country, Star Cinema together with Sine Screen comes another sure-fire box-office hit in “The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of Da Riles”. Directed by Soxy Topacio, the movie promises the movie audiences a rollicking good time. Also in the cast are Joem Bascon, Martin del Rosario, Bekimon, Bianca Manalo and Ms. Gina Pareno.
