Angel Locsin is once again nominated in an international award-giving body, the Shorty Awards (a competition for real-time, short-form content) dubbed as the Oscars for Twitter writers. The Kapamilya star is nominated in the Best Twitter Celebrity category.
Angel is competing against Ivete Sangalo @ivetesangalo (Brazilian singer/songwriter), Nathan Fillion @NathanFillion (Canadian actor), Claudia Leitte @ClaudiaLeitte (Brazilian singer), Stephen Fry @stephenfry (British actor, writer, director) and David Hewlett @dhewlett (Canadian actor).
Angel is not the only Filipino who got a nomination from Shorty Awards. Daniel Razon (@DanielRazon) was nominated in the Best Journalist category. The 2010 Shorty Awards will be on March 3 at the Times Center in the New York Times Building.
There are 26 official categories for the Shorty Awards, six nominees for each category. Some of the categories include Advertising, Apps, Customer Service, Design, Music, Entertainment, Health, News, Politics, Humor, Literature, etc.
